Longview is impossible to surprise. It’s not only because his vision is so incredible either; thanks to highly sophisticated quantum processors he can predict every possible outcome of any action within seconds. If he can see you, he knows what you’re going to do even before you do. It’s his job to keep an eye on the Decepticons and let [[Optimus Prime]] and the others know what they’re planning.

According to the Robo Recon Team packaging he was teamed up with fellow Autobot Spy Shot 6. Between Longview's ability to predict thing and Spy Shot 6's unending patience they are the ultimate stakeout team.

While the toy line seems to imply Longview is a tiny Autobot who was granted life on Earth by the [[Allspark]], his single fictional appearance portrays him as full-sized Autobot from [[Cybertron]].
