Stinger is a fictional character from the Starriors series in 1984. He is a heroic member of the Guardians.

Starriors

Stinger is a Guardian. Stinger is a wheeled scorpion-shaped scout craft. He is armed with two ground level lasers, two fazers, a terrain laser and a Sting Ray Laser.

Guardians are programmed to protect man while he slumbers.

Note: The Starriors series is considered a parallel universe in the Transformers series. While there are Transformers and GoBots named Stinger, they seem to be unrelated to this character.
