Bumblebee is the pre-upgrade identity of the evil Autobot Goldbug.
He is sometimes depicted in colors inspired by Bug Bite.

Fictional biography
BUMBLEBEE doesn't speak much. He's much more likely to give an oil-curdling cackle as a response to any inquiry. Being smaller than his fellow AUTOBOTS, BUMBLEBEE acts as a scavenger. Hiding like a coward during a battle, then picking off anything left still moving after. Like his fellow AUTOBOTS, BUMBLEBEE longs for the day he can break free of his servitude, and take revenge against PROFESSOR SUMDAC.
Shattered Glass Transformers Prime
